Municipal Property Tax Setup

Setting your property taxes up with your city is easier than ever.

Most municipalities now allow you to setup your taxes auto-withdrawn from your bank account. The big advantage of paying your taxes directly is that you only pay what is owed - mortgage lenders often take a higher payment from you towards your property taxes than is actually owed as they like to create a buffer to pay your taxes in semi-annual increments. However, many lenders these days insist on paying your taxes if you are putting down a down payment less than 20% to reduce their risk that the property taxes fall into arrears.
