Doug's story began in Guelph, where he fell in love with the beautiful city while attending university. After University Doug, referred as an an OHL, OHA, and OUA official for 15 years, in his third year he started his mortgage business as well as teaching at Ryerson and the University of Guelph. After advising clients for a decade, he transitioned into a management role at Axiom.

In 2016, he co-founded a tech company that simplifies the mortgage process. Through their innovative solutions, Canadians now enjoy a smoother mortgage process when working with brokers. Doug is deeply connected to Guelph as an alumnus, professor, and long-time resident.

Formerly an on-ice official driven by his love for hockey and community, he continues his community involvement by actively contributing as part of the leadership committee for the Children's Foundation of Guelph and Wellington, supports the Gryphon's Give Program, and participates in many community events. Outside of work, you can find Doug creating memorable experiences for his daughters, or elevating his knowledge through Entrepreneurs Organization.
